ABOUT

Through my artwork I explore the interface between damage and preservation, the dynamics of interpersonal relationships and the malleability of the memories. I enjoy working in a space where humour and history rub shoulders, where nostalgia and discomfort mingle.
My art encompasses collage, assemblage, painting and photography. Across these disciplines, I am attracted to using and referencing salvaged materials and objects imbued with specific histories and uses. Contemplation and manipulation of these materials, and the ideas that are embedded in, or can be extruded from them, provide me with a springboard into my creative practice.
I live and work in Melbourne / Naarm, Australia. I wish to acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land, the Wurundjeri people, and I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
